I was informed of the difficult situation and danger of Hisba Dr. Nawal El Saadawi, medical doctor and Egyptian feminist author and activist, finds herself in because of a distorted interview to a newspaper.

From her writings, I am convinced that Dr. Nawal El Saadawi has no intention to speak against her religion which she practices and loves.

I urge you to help clarifying this misunderstanding in the spirit of dialogue, and respecting the UN Human Rights Charta, to which Egypt is party.
